ELISHEVA SLAMOWICZ
Industrial designER
Born and raised in Jerusalem, I earned my degree in Industrial Design from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
I see design not as an extra, but as a core value – something that defines, shapes, and impacts the way we live every day.
Before studying at Bezalel, I spent two years in architecture school. Architectural thinking remains an integral part of my design approach and continues to inspire me today.

Graduation project at Bezalel, in collaboration with Hanan Fatal. The project translates the idea of order into a modular grid structure: a custom 3D-printed connector we developed, combined with aluminum profiles, creates a flexible framework where interchangeable elements enable fast assembly and adaptable spatial organization.

A humorous project combining two symbols of luxury-
a diamond ring and a Ferrari. The case is designed as a sports car box that opens to reveal the ring in a surprising and amused way. The prototype consists of a metal frame made with EDM and a 3D-printed inner part, designed for industrial production using plastic injection molding and a custom aluminum die.

The project was born from a desire to bring reading back into everyday life. It is inspired by childhood memories of reading in bed and by the Japanese tokonoma, a niche that frames a cherished object and elevates it into a daily ritual. The outcome is a “small shrine for reading” composed of a single-book shelf, a flower vase, and an adjustable light fixture, suspended together as a delicate system that sanctifies the act of reading and makes it part of the home environment.

Hafuga is a modular coffee table with infinite potential
for expansion. The “tiles” are CNC-cut birch panels clad in Formica, and the legs function as the fugas: they create the spacing, carry the table, and hold it together. In this way, a cheap everyday object originally meant to be discarded becomes the key element of the design, revalued and placed at the center of the story.

A laminated stool crafted from four layers of 4 mm birch plywood, bent and glued within a mold. The design consists of two identical parts produced in the same mold, each refined with complementary processing according to plan. The two parts are connected by turned brass elements, creating a floating effect between them.

A set of six spoons designed in a Bezalel course.
The course explored the anatomy of everyday objects and aimed to understand how subtle changes in proportions and details can have a major impact on the way we experience them. Working with the spoon, a simple and familiar object, the project examined how micro adjustments can create new sensations and open up further design possibilities.
